overall paint quality good (but missed some lines in the vent and more than usual overspray than i wanted), body work--OK, would've been excellent if the bodyman didn't get lazy (i can tell they do good work through closer observations of the other cars they were working), installation of vents OK; bondoing of it was kinda halfassed too. overall quality of hood itself is mediocre.. looks good from 5 feet away, but from perfectionists such as US it's not acceptable within a close sight range. this is unacceptable.

the sad thing about it is how this guy was filipino and we were speaking it in our own language and i was compelled to place full trust on him; but beforehand i was alreayd warned by my bud that in this capitalistic business world we live in, you can't even trust your own people (race). pretty sad day we live in. if you ask me..

i'll post up some pics next week mang

take it back and demand it redone right or get your money back, its your consumer rights, never pay untill the job you get is satisfactory, even if its against their company policy

The FD looks incredible stock, no need to stupid *** hood scoops and vents. It messes up the look of the car

^^^ I have no issues with scoops and vents as long as they are actually functional... i.e. they are more than just for looks... actually, I have no problem with most body add ons so long as they are functional... e.g. a ridiculously big wing if it actually works and you do stuff that would need it...

for example... a person that tracks their car a lot having an adjustable rear wing, diffuser, etc... no problem...

people that have the adjustable rear wing, diffuser, etc... but never tracks their car and never plans to track their car, I have a problem with because they have that stuff for : 1. looks only; 2. looks and to go fast on the public roads (very dangerous).

people that have a really big rear wing and no front air dam but drive front wheel drive cars... I have a problem with that....

Stupid ***? by the way, this is a 500 hp car built in Austin, TX. An engine like this, operating in most climates, especially for where it was built for, can seriously benefit from a heat dissipation and air intake temperature standpoint. Thanks, for your comments.

I think it looks great. I would rather do something like yours than mess with fitment and quality issues with the carbon fiber hoods. Oh, and the best part is no hood pins to keep the damn thing in place, makes it look a lot cleaner.

That looks like the hood fo the fd they used In getaway in stockholme 5. But that one had all the underframe shapes removed. This one looks better.

Correct me if im wrong but wouldnt they be more functional if they had a little upward lip on the forward edge of each. Like the way a reverse cowl has a small lip. It would help to direct airflow over and backwards, and out of the engine bay and be a bit more functional at higher speeds.

seems like if anything that would add more drag and disrupt airflow a bit unless the bump or lip was rounded and smooth on the front side facing the front of the hood.

I like! Did a great job. The FEED hood is really hotttt. It rains every afternoon here so I couldn't deal with that, but if you can then more power to you. MAD PROPS!

They may in theory be more functional, but the heat dissappation already provided is plenty enough. These vents really let the heat pour out when you are at a stop light or such or going slow. When you're moving, then air is forced through the FMIC and that builds positive pressure in the engine bay and it is then forced thru that way, as oppossed to being pulled through by uplift from a would be lip. They work just great as they are. You wouldn't believe the heat that pours out of them! Think about my positive pressure theory. Besides, I don't have any overheating issues when the car is moving pretty good. If I'm sitting still a while, my temps will spike pretty good on a hot day, and I'm just that much more confident that they would spike higer and sooner if the vents weren't there. In theory, a lip might work better, in reality it is not necessary.
