SQ Setup in FD
I just bought a 93' Touring FD w/ the Bose system on the fritz. Car is at a local stereo shop right now having my new Pioneer DEH-P9800BT and some Arc Audio FD 6022s installed in the doors.
This is my way of starting, just getting some decent sound in there vs. the crackling Bose system with the wave thingy that sounds like an owl or something.
My next step will be to probably put components in. I like the Focal K3Ps w/ a 6.5 mid, .78 tweeter, and a 6.5 woofer. Question is, do you SQ guys think that'll work or sound good given that the mids will most likely go in a fabbed kick panels, the woofers will go into the doors with modded door panels, and the tweets (I think) should go in the dash firing off the windshield?
Later I'll add a sub; maybe a Focal 27 KX or something similar. What do you guys think about my speaker selection and placement, from those of you who have tried to get great sound out of a car that wasn't designed for it?
EDIT: Mods... I'm sorry, this should have gone into the Interior/Exterior/Audio section. Please move it. Thanks.

too much custom fabbing and molding for me...those components you are running and a powerful amplifier and you should be straight...but don't get me wrong engine sound > car audio.

oh yea. when im driving in my FD just to drive i never have the radio on. If it is on it will be very quiet so when i get on it i can hear the motor and exhaust and turbos, and all the good noises that rx7s make.
