Thanks. 450hp doesn't seem befitting of that "evil monster look" but damn that's a wild looking car even if it was powered by a Singer sewing machine engine.

 

So when will this go into production?

Wish the rear tires stuck out a bit more, would make it look more mean.

the production car would never be that extreme. but i think the overall body style is nice. rear engine setup and if the 450hp to 750kg (1650lbs) is true, this would be one of the fastest cars on the street.

mazda concept 450hp 1650 lbs = 3.66 lbs per hp
c6 zo6 505hp 3120lbs = 6.1 lbs per hp
ferrari enzo 650hp 3000lbs = 4.61 lbs per hp
race gas supra 950hp 3500lbs = 3.68 lbs per hp

i doubt it will only weight 1650 lbs, but if it does it will be a monster of a car. it would have the same power to weight as a 950hp supra. even anything less then 2000lbs will make the mazda one of the fastest cars out there.

 

ya, problem is, they arent going to use the 13b, they are making some kind of fucked up hybrid motor. supposedly more powerful than the renisis, but less choked down in emissions. how they are going to do that, i have no clue, its mazda, they havent made sense since the rotary was first introduced.

why not the next rx-4? or maybe the mx-3? oh wait, no, they are done with that model too.

dude, people need to understand that there will not be a new rx7. If they make a new RX, it will either be a new rx8 or a rx9.

 

haha, saying there will be no new RX7 is like saying there will never be a new Corvette. Just ig'nant.

Once they refine this prototype I HOPE they label it as the NEW RX-7.
