looks like a sachs 295cc rotor... i bet they bought the tooling off norton, who bought the tooling to produce these motors of sachs back in the late 70's or early 80s. The holes are for air/ fuel to pass through and cool the rotor, at least they were intended to when sachs made it. but the sachs version only made around 15-20 hp, this thing must be very refined. check out this thread, i am building a gokart with myself with a sachs km914 motor

lol. i know a guy that had a 125cc 2 stroke water cooled that made 30 hp that rotary was 50 cc and made 50 hp BYYAAAWWW!!!

the ax50 is a fromula A kart. The little 125cc 2 stroke is something like a rotax. They are a bit like comparing an rx7 to a 787b

Is yours a rotary? I can't tell from the image. Thanks for the Karting vid,those are like mini Formula One cars!! Are the karts in the video 250cc shifter karts?

Mine is a rotax kart 2 stroke 125cc. creates 30ish hp 14400rpm The vid is of the formula A JICA karts. Direct drive ( single speed ). i think 250cc 2 stroke upto 50hp 22000rpm with 4 pot brakes ( only on rear )

The ax50 rotary engine is not allowed in the class i am about to compete in.
