Product Review: Meguiar's Scratch X

A few months ago I borrowed my dad's car. Well, coming home on Carmenita I unintentially cut off some Mexican's in a truck. Then they cut me off intenally and did a hit and run and I never got a chance to exchange info or get their licnese plate number. I went to Autozone today because it was on the way home from my lunch. I took out $12 in my pockets. I bought a tube of Scratch X and some terri cloth. The reason why I had to remove the scratch was because my it was newly released (with option to buy?), otherwise I wouldn't have cleaned it up. That way when he returns it to the dealership, it'll look clear. Anywho, I will let the pic do the talking.

It's a nondescript Honda Accord.

Here is a pic of the product:

The tap scratches (who knew 5MPH impact leaves such a great mark):

Applying water to remove dirt, then dry.

Applying teh chemical:

With all jokes aside, this is some serious business:

SPOTLESS! and towels even still have life in them. Took about 15 minutes.

Hopefully the rest will just buff out.

I give this product a 5/5. I recommend this product to anyone who is trying to remove some scratches on their bumper, even body. It even works on metal or whatnot. I didn't take pics though. I hope no one flames me for this nubish post cause I just thought it would be helpful. Any comments or questions, post in this thread.

you dont know what youre talking about do you? anyways. yeah scratch x is a great choice for hand polishing (non machine polishing. even if you use it with a machine itll just cake up anyways). next time try some Microf Fiber towels isntead. terry towels are basically cotten towels and cotten towels absorb a lot less and its hardly to spread the product around (and causes micro marring/swirls). are you gona fill in the scratch with some paint?

^ have fun rubbing non stop for 14+ hrs just to polish out swirls by hand. it will work but... its not fun... and after 15 minites of polishing your arm feels like theyre gona fall off... so... youre going to need a machine polisher like a porter cable 7424 with a different sets of pads (cutting, poishing, finishing, etc) and compounds.
