Just out of curiosity, if you were to buy every single parts for an FD new from Mazda today, would this cost be greater than the original price of the FD back in the day?

this would cost about $100,000.00 greater than buying the car new.

ive spent in mazda genuine parts over $1500.00 on a few small things in the past month alone.

examples:

Seats leather: $3-4000
Battery harness: $550
little plastic thing with lid on drivers side door: $230
Shifter boot plate: $65
Spark plug wires: $75
Rear door garnish: $30
these are a few small things but the prices (which are out of whack to begin with) add up fast to the point of it being cheaper to buy a parts car.

It appears to be a model car....you may be able to find a picture on a miniture or model car site. Just a suggestion to throw out. Also Im sure all the parts for a rx7 from Mazda isnt that expensive.

Dude cp1 you could have found an apolster to redo your seats for cheeper. Althouth the harness is fairly priced, without it your car wouldnt start/charge or have power.....550 isnt that bad. Why did you need the harness? Just a little curious .

Sorry, but that is not a picture of a model. I have the book RX-7 by Ymaguchi. The pic is in there along with some other great pics of the unibody and suspension.

The picture that I posted is a little clearer in the book, I am just wondering if the might be a better digital pic out there.

I would think so, I saw that the price of a new main cat alone is like $1500! So I would imagine everything in pieces would get really expensive.

You don't show an e-mail, so if any of these would help, just send me your email and I'll attach them for youl. Actually yours looks pretty good. These are from the book.

I'm sure it would be some what less then 100,000$. Then again I get a 15% discount or actual dealer cost price depending who I know and how deep the parts departments connections go lol.

Awesome stuff. +1 for remembering and having good material!
