Smile New camera! NikonD40X. Pics of my FC!

I've been playing around with my girlfriends new camera and figured I'd post a few pics up. I am not an expert w/ photography, as you will see in the pics. I know many of you have a keen eye for the layout of the picture and overall balance of what looks good or bad. Comment away!

How much did you pay for the camera? I am trying to get my dad to buy this one for his new camera since his old one broke. I have found it for 443 w/ lens. Nice FC.

We overpaid for the camera itself, but it was packaged with a 2 year warrenty, classes, free cleaning and general servicing. She paid $960. total. We got a 18-55mm lense, soft case, warrenty, 2gb mem card, club membership w/ discounted prints and several other accessories. The warrenty and free servicing is the only reason we chose to buy it at a conventional store. With how much we intend to use it, it would definatly be worth the extra $. I believe the D40x is readily available online for $400-500 w/ or w/o lense. Definatly a good camera for those that want to learn photography and not shell out a grand or more for something they wont know how to use.
