OK guys, I finally got my racing beat road race true dual exhaust setup on my car...

now mind u this is on a 86' n/a 5spd with:
racing beat dual tube header
racing beat dual tube pre silencer
racing beat dual Y pipe
racing beat extention tubes
STOCK mufflers

this is a 6 port engine with both aux ports functioniing. (rear actuator sticking a bit but due to a bent actuator rod not an exhaust problem)

I got some apexi's in the trunk next check I will get them installed..

u think the stock mufflers are robbing power?

 

Why not use the RB mufflers?

half assed.. lol I just spend 800.00 on this exhaust im sorry but why would I want to spend another 500.00 for TWO mufflers... the racing beat mufflers are 250.00 EACH plus shipping

that seems like WAY to much money for a couple mufflers

The stockers hurt the sound. Get those Apexi's on and get some clips.

But you should really change the stock mufflers.
This clip here is of my dual setup.
I got a racing beat true dual header and after that just 2.25 piping all the way back to the dynomax welded ss mufflers.....and let me tell you, it is freaking loud. Its sounds like a small block v8 running with no headers.

i also have a racing beat system w/ stock mufflers and cant stand it. I just need to decide on some mufflers. I heard the Borla XR1's are good.

 

Wait, the whole racing beat system for a t2 only costs 800. And it's bar none the best sounding exhaust you can buy for an rx7 (and not have a headache). I get compliments every show/meet/whatever I go to about how quiet my rotary is and the chromed angled tips really look great.

 

right but thats a 2-1-2 system this is the ROAD RACE TRUE DUAL exhaust u cant buy in a kit..

 

Dave's car is non-turbo, so it won't sound as quiet and smooth as your 't2'. The turbine blades really slice and dice the sound pulses so it's both quieter and not so lumpy sounding.

 

Still, the header, presilencer and catback system isn't as much as the true dual system. It still sounded civil. A friend had it on a car that I sold to him with a heavy street port. at WOT it was pretty mean sounding but it wasn't as annoying as that system.

When I got my first Rx-7 (s4 n/a) years and years ago I had the RB header, Presilencer and an Apex'i N1 single. It wasn't raspy at all.

 

are those "ebay" exausts or real ones? I was thinking of going with something like that to make a flame thrower 8)

Just temporarly disable the primary plugs and rev
for fun ofcourse
