my finished project, finally been mag featured
After what seems like forever ive finally finished my RX7. I bought it in a bit of a state, some bits were already on it but ive added most and resprayed it to a fantastic finish. Took forever to polish everything up with my trusty ebay polisher
and even longer to make the boot build.
Finally got it in a national mag (banzai) and got 2 others lined up, hopefully front page on one of them
Anyway, heres the final product, all comments welcome:

dash is a little bright as all the pearl came out when the flash went off:

Nice 7, i like it! Definately what the show car crowd would dig plus it looks like it can back it up with what's under the hood
Now for the constructive criticism: Headlights stick out like a sore thumb and i'd be afraid the scratch the paint on the interior

Thanks for posting, I can only imagine the amount of cash you spent on the car. Congrats on getting it featured in a mag
I agree with many of the others that the car would look much better with the stock headlights and covers re-installed.
How have your intake temps been with the filter behind the rad like that? I wonder if it's sucking in hot air.

cheers for the replies guys, the interior needed tidying up cos it was all cracked and horrible looking, i had a bit of paint left over so sprayed it with that. The gauges didnt turn out as good as i hoped but over here in the UK its hard to get the pillar mount pods.
Finally the lights, well fair enough if you dont like them
over here they are really popular, seems we dont like the flip up lights at all as loads of MR2's and 180SX's etc have the non pop up conversions too.

The forums filled with Critics... car looks pretty good. It's been said a 1000x's before to each his own.
I'm just glad you got the car in a magazine without having to put stickers all over it.... now that's an accomplishment!

Hmm, i have that issue of Banzai... my last year's christmas present from my bro. (and i think this might have been the last issue i'm going to get here in the usa... althrough, they DID miss 2 of em, so maybe i'll get lucky.
Car:
Headlights- why not C-West or amemiya type lights with a lexan cover over em?
Intereor- well, what's ebay for then? Also, you could have probably gotten some OEM pieces, and it would have looked nicer.. or ocevered em in fabric... like a DC5 (RSX/ Teggy Type R dash.)
Engine bay: I read in the issue that you made your girlfriend help you polish the parts in the enine bay? ROFL, good one there!
Well, nice ride, i also read about the "possible cause" of 3rd gen engine problems, which was quite funny as well, but imo, highy likely.
