My custom SPA gauge install

I thought a few of you might like to see these, basically as with all folk on here I decided that the stock gauges were rubbish and needed replacing. I hate how cars look with gauges stuck here there and everywhere so I decided that I wanted a stock look.

Here's the near finished article.

Before:

During the install and testing the colour:

Finished product (not sure why it looks this shiney, as my dash spray is not):

A few others can be seen here:
http://rx7.fotopic.net/c1122164.html (Ignore the current wiring, I'm getting some nice thin gauge stuff and am going to use RS232s to connect the gauges to the car to allow for easy removal

It wasn't a fun job getting them to fit, but I think it looks stock and having better gauges is essential imo

So long as its 52mm its possible.

Ideally you need to take your cluster out and measure it up to be sure, you will need to cut some of the original cluster to the point where it can't be used again

Looks nice, I've been thinking about moving my SPA gauges to that spot. Did you follow Max Cooper's installation? If not, how are the gauges been held in place - Max used some kind of glue.

Wow! It looks very good, like it's meant to be there, factory looking.

So are you going to tell us the secret about the little red buttons?
Smoke screen? Oil slick?

lol, the little red buttons are so you can set the low pressure alarms/red LED flashing point.

I started with the Max Cooper guide which was my inspiration for putting them there, i.e. I bought SPA gauges as I knew they'd fit there - so thanks Max!

Also getting them in orange was a hell of a task

Cheers for the comments guys!
