Memories... : (

Sup peoples...
My boy just sent me a link of me acting a damn fool in my FD when I first got it last year...right now she's not running so i figured I'd post this link...guess I'm in a nostalgic mood, haha.
Some of the footage taken was edited and added to Revtech Racing Volume 2, a lil DVD that my race/car club put together, if anybody is interested in the rest of the DVD, check it out on EBAY...it's only a few dollars on there...basically to cover shipping and labels and dvd's...got some street action, models, some car show coverage and bloopers and ****...just us basically documenting what we do during the summer months.
Enjoy all...

www.revtechracing.com

Check out the site...most of the photos are done by me...and a few of the artciles too..lemme know whatcha think...

Peace,

"T"

I think I am going to have to agree with "RX7Wishing" on this one. That is just tearing it up. Putting undo stress on the car like that that wasn't even beefed up to handle it, I can see why it doesn't run.

Cool

Awwww here we go....

OK, the car does have a few things done to it...wedge Turbos, Pettit SMIC, Power FC, etc, etc...it's not bone stock, plus it has like 90k on the clock...so it was just a matter of time...but honestly, i believe it's just the power FC that needs tuning...

BUT....what's the point of having a car that can do all that **** and NOT at least have a lil fun with it...Jeez Lighten up fellas...isn't that what driving enthusiasm is about?? Yeah I'm sure people are going to say "you're beating on it" well, I happen to love that car. And you know what...things break, that's how it goes...I still "respect" my car...i guess. I mean it is a means of transportation, metal and rubber and glass, haha. Sorry if I don't have a shrine built for it, but I'd much rather enjoy a vehicle in all aspects, than have it sitting there collecting dust, that's just my opinion....I'm sure whatver I said will be disregarded and deemed "Irresponsible Rotary Ownership" regardless, but i jst figured I'd throw my two cents in.
Anyways, don't take it so seriously peeps, it's just a video...and in addition the car ran perfectly fine for months after that...it was only int he winter that it began to act up a bit...which is why i think it may be the Power FC...or then again it could be the engine is shot...either way it happens...just gotta deal with it as it comes...

Peace,

PS...should I not post any more videos of my not respecting my car in the future??

I found the perfect tool if you want to do burn outs on your car! It is a brake Line lock. It locksup your front brakes and releases your rear brakes so you can do some carzy burnouts and not wear out your breaks in the back since from the video you like to do burnouts and such!

Several companies make line-locks and I would go with a B&M Launch Control, which comes with a solenoid, wiring kit and warning light that tells you when the solenoid is engaged.

hate to say it X9_RXSiete because people have already said it but I completely agree with the above statment. Of course it is fun doing that stuff but the first thing that came to my mind was the same thing rx7wishing wrote because it is simply not good for your car. However I do agree with you saying what is the purpose of the car then, it's true they are fun sports cars that you should have fun in every once in a while like that but not often or it will brake Good luck with it though man hope it gets up and running soon so you can do what you like with it

WOW....and here i thought I'd be getting bashed!!! Thanx for the positive comments. Actaully...I'm pretty good with my cars...of course the occasional burnout or donut, but for the most part I behave...I went a lil more than normal for the video of course, I mean who'd want to see somebody be gentle and boring on an Import DVD??
But yeah I am actually wanting to get a line lock not so much cuz of skill level...moreso cuz I'm a big dude and I wear a size 13 shoe, hehe...and these RX7's arent exactly built for larger folk...I find it hard to get both of my feet over into such a small area and still be able to control it well...so yeah a Line Lock is in the plans...I think within the week I'm going to have the car brought over to Acosta Motorsports in North Jerzy and have them give it a once over and check out the PFC...I'm not a mechanic nor a rotary expert as this is my first venture into the world of rotary engines, so I figured I'd take it to the pros and have them let me know what the deal is...I doubt it's the engine, but if worrse comes to worse, I'd rather have them do the job instead of me and my cousin tryna go at it. I'll spend more in the long run but the job will be done right the first time.

Again Thanx fellas, and check out the site when you get a chance www.revtechracing.com

Dont listen to anyone, you had a blast in that car and thats what theyre for. Anyone who buys a 7 and keeps it in the garage and drive at 30 mph should have just bought a honda or something. Kick *** vid! I have tons of vids of my 1st gen doing that and more, Ill never stop, too much fun!

ok there is a difference between driving the car hard and just ******* it up.

It seems to me that it's a fuzzy line to both of you.

You know if I'm sure you car has the capability of getting airborne "Dukes of Hazard" style. So since it can do it, maybe you should try it? That should also fall under driving enthusiasm too ya know.

But it's you car. It's your money. Just understand the difference between of Hard core driving enthusiasm vs just ******* **** up.

You know, If he was complaining abou t how his car is a piece of **** becuase its "Broke", all the negative comments would be in line. BUT He is at an understanding about the mechanical limitations. Let him be. The track and AutoX guys beat the **** out of there cars and you guys say "cool"

The guy in the Silver 8 Went in the grass twice and spun once Yet it kept up with the Ferrari to the tune of "cool". His tires were wrecked and the brakes were burned and all said "Cool". He raced his motor and nearly over heated it and all said "Cool"

Regardless, line locks are on the way, no matter what you say...hehe.
