Just had these 4 converted and uploaded to youtube.
I hope you guys like them.
1) Just a nice walkaround of the SCOOT FD.

2) Me free-revving the car Part 1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsI2ZgRmvFg
3) Part 2 of the above
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYH1LYKuN0c
4) Just cruising around town. Somewhat boring, but bursts of accelertation.

I have many more coming up, but these 4 were converted and uploaded so far, along with the main wangan video. The reason the car stalls is because the car idles on 2 rotors, and past 4000 RPMS, 4 rotors engage. The car has 2 power FCs. When you get the revs up, and when it comes back down, there is a fuel cut so it doesnt waste gas, very gentle accelerator control is needed so it doesnt stall. I was still trying to figure it out lol.

This is an incredible thread. I've wanted to visit Japan since I was in elementary school, and this makes me want to go even worse. Maybe after I graduate in May, I can figure out how to get over there and check it out!

Your pictures and vids make me miss japan so much.
When i visited last over the summer i was so shy to go visit these shops because my japanese wasn't very good yet. however it's gotten much better as of lately.
Miata_Mx5 i'd like to talk with you about the shops you visited and how you got around japan. I found it difficult to find places like the shops you visited and even if i did i had no way of getting there reasonably.
I plan on returning again hopefully the end of the upcoming summer or the spring of 2009.
Btw you had lots of tuna flakes on your Takoyaki....also i'm pretty sure i got my takoyaki from the same place in Akihabara.
