I just saw this and I swear...there is no radiator and he idles and revs it for 2 minutes straight!

It didnt blow up for one thing, which makes me sad. Second, most any engine can sit there, fired up without coolant and idle as long and rev like that one did. Next time, really rev it, like held at 6500rpms with no rad. for 5 minutes, and I will be much more impressed.

 

2 minutes, thats nothing. How long does it take ur car to get warm? Let alone hot enough to do any damage?

Your thermostat is closed on your regular car, so its the same thing as not having a radiator.

that engine sounded like ***! and nothing blew besides that video.give me back my 2:17 seconds.

wtf???? "how to blow an ls1" no ls1 blew in that video.... and i bet it was just barely at operating temp when they shut it off! this video needs to die! no trial, straight to execution!

Sorry guys I was drinkin my *** off when I got home and posted this thread. I didnt mean watch a ls-1 blow up........but "how to" blow up an ls-1. Personally I have never run a motor without a radiator, I thought for sure this would warp the heads.
