Nice! Love how you can hear the black FD brapping at the starting line from the bleachers. The white FD is beautiful I think I saw it up at gateway a year or so ago parked, very clean and seems very fast and well sorted out from your vids.

surprised that a 450 rwhp fd is trapping only 1mph more than my 360rwhp fd. was he runnign less boost?

 

Phil needs to run again with his car tuned...10psi, wtf mate. I think the weight of the turbo is holding you back at that boost level.

 

Because of ignition problems, he was shifting around 6900-7000.

 

I am going to run it tomorrow at 16psi. I was only running 10psi because my boost controller crapped out.

Well I can't go now anyway. My hood latch cable broke in 2 and now my hood is stuck shut. Putting hood pins in now.

 

still though. we are talking about a car that makes 100 more rwhp. it seems to me that there arent many fds trapping 125 plus for some reason even when making 450rwhp plus. its odd to me. especially when stock twin cars are trapping high teens. is it b.c of lag you think? i mean when will u lag though, off the line? something doesnt seem to be adding up to me though. i have often wondered this. perhaps i shoudl start a thread.

 

My trap speed will go up when I (1) learn how to shift, (2) fix my ignition, and (3) mix the correct amount of race fuel. The temperature that night was also around 90 degrees. Phil, I will race again in a few weeks after it cools down, it's way to hot to run now.

 

I just got back from the track. It was the slowest group of quick 16 cars since gateway opened. The heat was almost umbearable. Everybody was running very slow. At 16psi I ran a 12.9 @ 113mph. I was the fastest import there and the 8th fastest car overall. Next week I am looking for mid 12s if the weather cools down.

Yea and the temp was over 100 this time! plus I couldn't hook up. Last time I got a 2.0 60ft this time all I could manage was a 2.25.

 

A 13 second GT42R FD makes me want to cry.
