It was a SICK time...
It was a shame all the rotarys failed thoe.... none made it out of the first round... and some didnt even make it out of practice.

that white FC was one of many with a V8 swap...Ill see if I have some more pics of it.

There were some SICK swaps overall..
- Nissan GT-R with a 350Z motor and ford Rear end making close to 800hp
- 3 series BMW with a M5 V10
- 240 with a super charged V8
- Scion TC with a NASCAR V8

 

yea i went to long beach and saw the cars..

the white fc was Mike Essa's old Green ls1 fc...(he drifts the bmw with the v10.)


yea.. sadly theres no more real rx7s in formula D.

nice pics man, i had a great time at the event but was without my camera, what lens were u using?

 

He did his thing in the BMW.... but you can tell the mustang had way more experience.. but that Bmw sounded NASTY


It sucked I only had my kit lens (18-55) and a wide angle lens (10-20)... most of those motion shots are cropped into from a larger image... I need another lens with some reach... Im thinking the 70-300 and I should be good.

ahhh man... yeah it was a awesome event...
That RX8 sounded like a formula 1 drift car.... everytime it came up the announcer was literally like "i'll shut up now, cause your not going to hear a word i'll say" lol
