forgot to add, like mentioned before, my car above was running a stock ECU, stock fuel injectors, stock boost, ect. DP, resonated midpipe(ported wastegate and electronic boost controller!), and racing beat duals still gave flames even if they were pretty tiny :-)

 

The sound of the rotary is absolutely amazing. I love how quiet it is until the turbos kick in, but once the do.....

For what it's worth regarding flame-shooting, Star Mazda cars have some really impressive flames coming out of their Renesis engines... pretty steady yellow flame on the overrun. The short exhaust "helps" with the flames but it seems to be a good enough tune for them... the extra fuel on overrun would help cool things, so the theory goes.

 

I'll throw mine in for fun….85 gsl-se, 13Brew, gt4094, 850/1600 inn combo, haltech ps1000 tuned by steve kan…..it shoots flames just for fun….getting tune touched up this summer…but the flames re fun and my kid thinks it's the coolest thing any car can do!

this is set at 11psi boost on a slight deceleration….right around the :46 mark
