Wow! if anything you need to give your respect to Evo's and Mitsubishi, the evo MR stock runs a 13.4 and is 286HP what is the third gen RX7 again??? something like 255hp and ran a 13.9 quarter mile time! Look at all of the jap cars now, no one makes jap supercars anymore, and the RX8 sucks, 350Z sucks, and newer MR2's suck. The only companies keeping turbocharged cars alive are mitsubishi, Mazda, and subaru. Yes there are some other ones like the sky redline, and BMW 330ix but not that many. I love the RX7 it was an awesome car but truth of the matter is that the jap car companies went away from the turbocharged supercars at the end of the 90's. Every car is made for something different, you can't say that a rwd car sucks because they where made for a reason, and you can't say an awd car suck because it was made for a reason as well. that is just my two cents on it.

 

I didn't say Evos aren't good but its the AWD that makes them (as well as any other AWD car) good in any condition (that was the point of AWD). I'm not a rotary elitist like 95% of everyone who dissed the Evos (Correction: anything non-rotary) in this thread.

 

Imagine the reply posts if I came to the main evo board and post a video of me passing evo's at Road Atlanta from my in car camera. Then title it - Video of RX-7 passing AWD cars at the track. You think I'll get a nice warm reception?

In my experience, AWD cars do pretty well... but they don't clean shop!!! They get owned by C5's, morgans, and even MINI's and miatas all day long. Just because you didn't have any competition doesn't mean you're better.
