Brandon, you should've taken your car out there. I want to see some videos of some nice FD's doing some runs too. Otherwise, you could always wait a bit and I know Charlie and I are planning on seeing what's up once my cars fully tuned .

 

I have been talking with charlie quite abit latly. He will be running my fuel system on his car.

You do relize we will need about 500 whp, give or take, to keep up with these cars? Well Z and the Supra anyway.

I meant Charlie and I were going to do some runs amongst ourselves and that you should join us. I'm not too fond of going all out on the highway with 12 other cars. I personally think its extremelly stupid and it heightens the risk significantly of getting caught and having my car impounded.

 

^ +1 for highway pulls. Riz I'm down to see some FD's on the highway don't forget to give me a call I'll be down. Too bad I won't be able to keep up with you guys. But hopefully by the end of next year after my next setup is complete I will be doing much much better

I will be down for some runs for sure, come spring time. I wish I could leave this car alone and just drive it. Looks like I will be changing my whole setup be next spring. Motor and all.

This is a fact though. I have taken a Z06(mods unknown) on the streets where I live in my 2004 GTO. This is running 6.5 psi on a D1-SC ATI Procharger, Dynatech Long Tube Headers, 42lb injectors, AUTO w/stock converter, 42lb injectors with a conservative tune including the rev limiter set at 5,800 rpm. The car has been Dyno proven at 467whp at an elevation of 4,500 FT with these mods only. Not to mention I also have the 10psi pulley, 3,500 stall, Meth Inj. Kit and DR's sitting in my garage. This is my DD.
Now that you mention it, I think I can take you!

trapping of course isnt everythign but its a pretty good indication of what the car can do "X" - the driver.

Did you even read all of my replies? I'm assuming not. If you did you would see that I posted numbers along with Qtr. mile times and have in fact run a Z06 here. Why is this so hard to believe? Some small details you overlooked is that I live at an elevation of 4,500 FT. Chicago is 580 Ft. A 3,920 elevation difference. I don't think I'd have a problem netting enough whp to match or beat this Z06 with my 600 pound pig. Don't make me take out my spare tire too! haha

Get this...The Stock Z06 might trap 118(As you say it will) but it WILL NOT TRAP 118 HERE!!! Even if it were the exagerating MotorTrends or Car and Driver that did the reports!! If I were to dyno or run the car somewhere like Chicago, there would be a good difference in WHP, trap and ET. 122mph to my 118 for this guys Z06...A WHOPPING 4 MPH difference!!Ooooooohhhhh. It will not run that here at it's current power level.

Anyways i just find it hard to beleive as do a few other guys that posted here that a car with 600 more lbs would be able to beat a car with just 27rwhp advantage. not to mention how aweesome a z06s power curve is, its aero dynamics and gearing....those things run.

I understand where you're coming from. But as my last post stated(Was removed) there's more HP than just 27 as stated earlier depending how you look at it. And it has been done.
