well, at first I was surprised at how extremely MELLOW the Borla catback sounded on my car, but a lot of that was due to the exhaust leak at the manifold that I fixed at the same time so now all the sound goes where it's supposed to go (out back).

anyway, what you are about to listen to is a stock 1990 GXL with factory exhaust manifold, and all cats, and a new Borla catback. check it out:

the more I drive it, the more I get used to it (the exh leak was REALLY noisy before), and I kindof like the fact that I can now redline without annoying everybody within 3 blocks of me. but, this is definitely not "the BRAP BRAP!" and that's kinda was I was hoping for. I know it's a thin line though, between nice and noisy, and I don't want to end up like uRizen saying "OMG what have I unleashed!?"

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do next, maybe DP/PS on stock mani, maybe leave it how it is, maybe even header/PS... dunno.

I found that the borlas sound the best running a RB header to a RB presilencer....sounded killer on my N/A GXL!!!

 

Sounds weak if you ask me...sounds something a doctor or lawyer would drive...
