As I posted in another thread about a 20B 350Z, it applies to this...
Heavenly Sound = $1200 on Visa Check Card
.
.
.
Marvelous Engineering Feat = $10k+ on Visa Check Card
.
.
.
Putting a 20B Rotary in anything BUT a Mazda = BLASPHEMY

The C4 Corvette was originally design to have a Wankel engine. I'm sure somebody here have seen that document from GM.

If I remember my facts correctly; GM, as well as multiple big name automakers, all looked at the rotary when Wankel first tried to market it. And all of those big name automakers either said it would take too much money to develop or just werent interested. Mazda made it work. Its not about what would've, should've, could've been; rotary engines and Mazdas are synonymous. Was the 4.6L V-8 in that Mustang not good enough? I had a friend that put $5K into his 4.6L GT and put down mid 11's. Sorry, but I am a bit of a purist when it comes to my rotary. I would never put a rotary into anything else, nor put another engine into it. Just my $0.02.

it's like this, maybe you go to a place and people say '' hey look is an rx7''. but imagine geeting somewhere on a mustang and people say ''hey it's a mustang'' but when the owner opens the hood and people see that 20b their faces are goona be priceless. the owner of that mustang did that mainly for show so why not do it. just my .02 cents

Kinda sounds like a man that wants *****. They didn't come as standard equipment, and it looks good on another chassis, so why not. Sorry... some things just don't make sense to me.
Don't get me wrong, it's just as blasphemous to put a different motor into a 7. Ask a Corvette Z06 enthusiast how they would feel if they got "owned" by an RX7 with a Z06 motor under the hood. I don't think they'd be to excited about it either.
But then again... who am I to question or downplay others' visions and dreams? I just know that my 7 will never see anything but a rotary, and I will never put a rotary into anything else.

I just don't get the reasoning. I call this bastardizing the car. Just like in the movie, " F and F Tokyo drift", when they bastardized that Mustang GT and put a Jap motor in it- Killed it for me.
I have to agree on at least this one... It's funny because in Tokyo Drift the 350Z had so much over the Stang that the driver had to slwo down just for the stang to keep up. The car couldnt handle the power the motor was putting out. That in itself is just kinda funny... It's like a chick who's 5'0 getting FFF cup implants.... WTF?!?!?!
I know a couple guys in tally who have push rods in their Rx7's and granted the performance is nice it doesnt impress me because you're sticking in a beast of a motor and taking the fun away from building up a wankel... Just my 2 Pennies...

Why put a wankel in a ford? They brag enough about the 4.6L V8, and then make fun of us for keeping our tiny 1.3L's... or in this case the 20B. The Mustang is not aerodynamic, and alot heavier then any 7. Why not buy a 7, and throw the 20b in there? You like the look of the amazing long and retangular mustang? The awesomely cool stock 15 inch rims? *sigh*
Well, i guess if you like rotaries.... but then.... buy a car with the rotary in it!~ and was made for it. I say the same thing to LS1 conversions... why put pistons in a car that wasnt made to have them... why put ugly 5' wings on Front wheel drive civics/accords? Before I go on about the altezza lights... im gonna stop... but as for the 20b. I just dont know... I just dont know....

wow this lets the domestics know ho we feel about the v8 rx7 crap. For example I was on a muscle car forum and they were talking about how a car is just a car and it has no"soul".
Then after FNF3 did the RB swap and it whipped the modded 351 far and all around they said is ruined the car and it ain't a muscle car but a ricer cuz it lost its soul . Are they sore loosers and hypocrites or what that rb26dett embarrassed the mustangs man. They also said imports don't count cuz they have no souls. I said hahahhaahhahahahah... wait ahahahahahahahahaahhaha. okay I'm done, nope ahahahahahahahaha.
I love it!!!!!!!!!

ROTARD FOR LIFE!!!
Rotary engines imo belong to no car... they should be used in everything...
Why a Mustang? I dont think it was to "**** Off V8 Guys" theres got to be a logical reason to using a V6 Auto Stang, maybe they had lots of body parts and are really familiar to the body style. No one would dump that much money and effort into a car that wasnt worth it... Besides, the rotary is a great, compact power house... and people down south are NUTZ about rotaries anyway... Its like the american 350SBC
