Thumbs up 1998 Tetsuya Ota Crash @ JGTC...RE Amemiya FD Came to the Rescue!!!

Thought I'd share this w/ my fellow 3rd Gen owners, as I'm sure you'll find this a moment of pride as well...

I'm sure we've all seen the video of the horrible 1998 Tetsuya Ota Crash @ JGTC (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wS2k0JbOpDQ). But today, I had a few min to relax, and was watching the full video of the race...footage I had never seen before. And guess what? The footage clearly shows that the FIRST on the scene to the rescue - in the middle of a race mind you - was...you guessed it...the RE Amemiya (Asparadrink) JGTC FD3S. If you watch the video, SECONDS after the fiery crash, the FD makes a CRAZY fast stop on the side, right next to the Ferrari - which is now in flames. The action starts @ 3:55. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZGyyWQcGD8&NR=1

All I gotta say is, I'm even MORE proud of RE Amemiya and their staff. This is what it's all about... My hat's off to them...

~Ramy

PS: For those who aren't familiar w/ the crash, Tetsuya Ota (driver of the Ferrari that crashed & burned) not only survived (thank God), but also went to win a lawsuit for 90 million yen against the racing organizers for gross negligence...

TFL is a very very bad place...the rx7club lounge is slightly better(namely, TFL, AKA illstreet, was formed by the people who were banned from the rx7club lounge)

and smart move avoiding the lounge in any event...it's like a mini 4chan with less intelligence.

quoting wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetsuya_Ota)

"The first aide was another racecar driver. He was able to extinguish the fire with an extinguisher."
