Thanks all !!!
I drive the car as pictured. I don't know what the parasitic horse power losses are. I'm having Nick of Rotary Reliability & Racing dyno and tune it before Seven Stock. I'll post the dyno results when I get back.
I'm running the Racing Beat Road Racing exhaust (road race headers-thermal wrapped - complete dual system) but not using their mufflers. I used 2 1/4" pipe after the pre silencer to Magnaflow mufflers.
Yeah the Camden is an old design and it would be nice if someone offered a supercharger kit like Stillen does for the VQ35 motors (350Z, G35). Stillen uses a modern Eaton supercharger and has a air to water intercooler that is integrated into the intake manifold. Very nice but I think it is over $5700.00
I did not want to use nitrous oxide. I wanted a performance increase that was user friendly not on off like nitrous and having to refill the bottle.
I haven't found anybody that can offer a brand new system for less than $2400.00.
This is a good option for people who don't have the skills necessary to fabricate their own supercharger kit. I've had the supercharger on for over 4 months now (3000 miles) without any problems. My 1/4 mile times have dropped from 14.5@ 98mph to 13.7 @ 101mph (MT ET slicks only chassis change/addition)(2100 ft elevation 100+ deg F). At our track LVMS,the stock Mitsubishi Evo VIII's are running 14.3 to 13.9 in the 1/4.
Not that these are the most impressive times but a comparison.
After Nick tunes it, I'll get back to the track for times. I will post both dyno and 1/4 times.
Yes a more modern supercharger and a custom turbo system will get you better numbers but not for less than $2400.00 for a brand new system.
I applaud Mr. Atkins, Andy and the crew at Atkins Rotary for offering a good bolt on kit that is easy to install, so far has been trouble free, is cost effecive/affordable, and does produce a noticeable increase in horsepower (will post dyno results after Seven Stock).
Like Mazda, who relentlessly stuck with the Wankel rotary and all the headaches of R&D while everyone else quickly gave up (I've read General Motors,Chrysler and Mercedes Benz did experiment with rotary designs among other company's)
Thank God Mazda still believes in their rotary. I hope their entire car line sales go through the roof. Better for the Rotary's future.
Thank God Atkins Rotary stuck with their product and did not give up. I'm very grateful that they offer such a product.
I really like the improved response and broad power range of the supercharger.
My redline has been lowered from 9300rpm as a N/A to 8400rpm (Camden recommendation). But this drop in redline has not been a liability. At 8500 rpm it still feels like it has some more on top but I'm not willing to overrev my engine intentionally to find out what the top rpm limit is. I'm very happy with the results so far and it a blast to drive plus the uniqueness and distinction of a superchargered rotary is nice. It makes for an interesting world.
Thanks again !

Best time with Camden Supercharger:
1.9 sec. 60 ft.
8.5 sec @ 81.42 mph 1/8th
13.69 sec. @ 101.46 mph 1/4
Have since changed engines:
Only got 1 run in when the the cam went flat on 3 cylinders with stock #441 iron heads - untuned. (383 ci sbc)
1.7 sec 60 ft.
8.0 sec. @ 86 mph 1/8th
12.6 sec @ 104 mph 1/4
Engine has since been rebuilt with bigger cam and aluminum Victor Jr. heads and 11.5 to 1 comp ratio. Engine dynoed at 500hp/500ft lbs of torque.
Will put it back in the FC in two weeks.
Will post new times with new engine soon.
Sorry for not using a rotary
Will be on display at SevenStock9 this year at Rotary Reliability & Racing shop.
Hope no one shoots at me.
Picked up sponser for FC:

I find it odd that a shop named "Rotary Reliability and Racing" would put you on display with a v8 swap. Isn't that like saying "We build reliable rotaries... but we just don't have any right now, so here's a v8 swap!"

I've known Nick since the 80's. Louis asked me to hang out with them. Even though I did the V8 conversion myself. They are not trying to make a statement about V8 conversions just friends hanging out enjoying the scene. Here is some of Nick's past history. Only a very select few on this planet have been as successful.
Rotary Reliability and Racing is one of the best shops around.

Nick Van Nugteren is the owner of Rotary Reliability & Racing. Here's a little of his racing history. There's more but keeping it short. He currently is campaigning the Tokiko FD road race car (GT3) with good results - In the past few years 1st place Season Champion.
Here is the events Nick entered as the builder and driver.
1974 - Southeast Asia Grand Prix - Motorcycles Series Championship
1976 - Southeast Asia Grand Prix - Motorcycles Series Championship
1978 - Castrol Autocross Series - Southeast Asia Datsun National Championship

Nick knows what it takes to build and drive a world record vehicle. And most of his events were/are endurance events that require great reliability. You can't argue with successful results.

no over drive trans.. fun. so you must be running a 8.8 or 9" rear? I just dont see how you can make a 1/4 mile pass with the stock 4.10 rear gear.
that think is at 6k rpms at 110mph is it not?
www.grannysspeedshop.com now sells a kit to easily put a 8.8 rear in your fc if you want to go that route. 3.08 rear gear and that 1st goes to 60mph, 2nd goes to just over 100mph and 3rd gear will go to 160mph! thats what im looking into now for a future setup.
good luck with your setup. with more gear you WILL run low 10s... hell i see 9s in that cars future.

Nice Setup!
But I think 308's might be a little too tall for you. 378 would be a better start IMO (Comparing to a nearly identical setup I've had)

82x6000 = 95mph
(1056x4.88x1.00)
I'm sure I'll be using the solid rear kit from Grant of Granny's Speed Shop as you pointed out. Grant has suggested using 3.7 gears for my set up. I'm currently using MT Street ET's 26x10.5x16.
Thanks for the vote of confidence. I was shooting to be able to run solid 11's on the track and on the street.
I'm sure it may take a while to dial in.

What kind of results did you get ?
What setup did you have ? If you don't mind me asking

sweet car!
Thanks.
I bought the front fenders from Victoria British had them acid dipped then chromed. They came out lighter than the factory Mazda Fenders originally on the car. The originals weighed 9 lbs each. The chrome ones weigh about 8.5 lbs. each.
I found an N/A aluminum hood in the salvage yard for $40.00. Stipped the paint off and used steel wool to buff it out. Then I took it to a polish shop and got it polished for $150.00.
The polished aluminum hood with all the cut out sections saved about 30 lbs over the stock steel hood.
The chrome fenders are real easy to care for. Just wipe down wet and use a soft polish rag to follow up.
I polish the hood about 1-2 times a month. The hood requires alot more maintenance but it isn't that bad since there isn't much surface area left after I had to make cut outs for heat to vent out.

Installed !!
Very straight forward without any complications
I can't emphasize how well and straight foward the install went. I am very impressed at the high quality and excellent engineering that Grant has put into this bolt in kit. Grants online instructions proved very valuable in the success of the installation. And Grant was available for any technical advice needed during the installation process.
My upper watts link could be a hair shorter to get a better centering of the diff under the car. Grant told me he would ship one out to fix this as my truck differntial had different dimensions than the more popular passenger diffs. Great customer service !!
There is plenty of room around the differential and related suspension parts. No trimming was needed.
Its nice when a custom setup goes in without any complications.

Terrified.
Supercharged FC. Now that is what I am talking about. I don't care what the rest of the car looks like. Supercharged rotaries are just down right mean no matter what anyone says.

I'm sorry but I've gone over to the dark side - My Camden supercharged rotary has been replaced. Actually this is a picture of V8 engine #1. I'm currently on V8 engine #4 a full roller setup.
But I do agree, the supercharger was real fun and responsive.

Finally in!!
Made to order. Same fabricator for Nascar.
Only 1 3/4" thick. Tested to support 750 hp. They have a larger muffler setup that can support 2x more. It is a muffler that can be used on the street.
So Cal racing set me up with one of their chassis fabricators who does any thing from funny car chassis to custom rods. He will do the install as these will have to be slant cut to fit the FC chassis. Will have them exit before rear tire. Lots of ground clearance !! Will then get them ceramic coated.

She's alive and well !!
New engine dynoed at 541 hp @5700rpm 510 ft lbs tq @ 5200 rpm, untuned with a 750cfm vacumn sec Holley - corrected figures from dyno sheet.
The Granny's Ford 8.8 rear setup drives well on the street but I haven't gotten into it yet.
Will post initial track results after breakin.
