1984 RX-7 GSL 12A Running

Here's my car running, bone stock, except who ever owned it before me removed the cat, and put a Cherrybomb Turbo muffler on it. The interior is currently out of the car. Running a bit rough, carb needs a tune-up, and the idel is a little high I think.

there are two screws on the drivers side of the carb. one 4 air to fuel mix and one 4 the idle speed. i have an '83 and the screws are next to each other about 3 inches apart. yours being an '84 they might be on top of each other. My book is not in front of me right now so i can't be sure. good luck!

Idleling at a grand is ok. Doesn't sound too bad. Sounds like a little exhaust leak though. Glad to see another first gen back too life.

Your right, it does have an exhaust leak. The car has no cat, but it has some sort of pre silencer or something, fairly close to the exhaust manifold ( it looks like an extreamly small muffler) and there is a hose just hanging from the air pump which is suppose to be hooked up to the exhaust system. So I think exhaust is leaking out of the hole, where the hose is suppose to be attached.
