The car looks like an assault spacecraft. Sweetness.... I wouldn't doubt that it has a warpdrive of an engine, either.

Can't mess with Godzilla! The RB26 is an amzing engine, and the RX-7 is an ourstanding car, so this thing is close to perfection.

That is what he states and honestly I believe him. The money that was put into that car is probably more then you make a in a year. Did you hear how aggressive it sounds without the turbo? Do you see the bodyparts and what companies are on that car? Did you notice the paint job or the size of the turbo? Do you realize how much a swap like that costs and work hours?

id think that itd throw off the weight balance and handling even more than an LS1, being a very long, heavy iron block sticking that far in front of the front wheel centerline. im sure it sounds awesome and goes like hell, it definately looks incredible, but if they're gonna drop a piston engine in there, make it something that'll preserve the handling and nature of the car, maybe something along the lines of the aluminum yamaha v8 in some new volvos or an LSX (something obtainable, not like a ferrari V8)

 

Perhaps it was turbo lag but that was the worst launch i've seen out of a 1000hp car . IMO, unless this project made them broke, if they can afford to do what they did to the car..... they could afford a better means to record that car. SO TELL THEM TO GET ON IT!

 

Not usually a fan of pistons in rx7's.... BUT this is bad ***!!!!

Looks like they have some tunning to do and the weight distribution will be a off.

I dont understand all the hype. Yes its is wicked sick and sounds great but from the look of that video it deff seems it could be better. The day I get some 1/4 time slips of this car then I can put in some real input on what I think. Still a great car but should have just went with a 20b.

I know what you mean, but when it's never been done/rarely been done, it's all the more exciting, even if it was sh*t slow, it's rare. XD
