I got a call tonite from a friend telling me that my *NEW* V8 Kila video was a piece of crap.

I was wondering what he was talking about, since I haven't edited
anything new with V8 Kila since we shot some new footage a few weeks ago.

Then he sends me a link:
Wannabe V8 Killes Video on Streetfire.

I could not believe this crap. I understand that everybody takes some
ideas from here and there - but this video was point blank ripoff of mine.

It has the ***** to have the:

Same Name
Same Music
Similar Cuts and Views.

It even has similar refences to my 'old' Dyno video. (492 RWHP now)

I posted a couple of negative comments on the streetfire site, but I am still
kinda ticked off.

I guess imitation is a form of flattery. Either that, or I should be pretty
pissed off by now.

What do you think?

 

Yeah, it's an obvious rip off. Some people are just unoriginal. Just feel better knowing your car makes more RWHP But that is a badass 1st gen.

imho.. similar cuts and views is somewhat of a stretch directfreak..
and considerin they are both rotary vids... does it even matter if there were similarities...
looks like a badass first gen there...

 

that was pretty amusing when you owned that truck, you guys must have some neat street racing scene out there. Over here we got philly which is like fast and farious where everyone rolls up and splits together its pretty nuts here.

 

nice 1st gen... but yeah, vid is a piece of crap! not even close to the original... at least be happy you have some fans out there...

I don't think so at all, its quite obvious they tried to duplicate the exact same couple cuts. Watch both videos back to back, its clear as day. They used the same music as well(not a fan of the song at all) but their use of the song is half assed. Directfreaks usage of that song was at least done with some finesse to make it decent.

What was the point of the 1st gen dyno clip in this "V8 Killes" video anyway? Theres no dyno sheet to prove their 470HP claim either. Poor immitation crap. That Vid gets a -10 from me.

 

I just met the owner of that first gen at Nopi this past weekend. Its pretty cool but he told me it ran 9's and he had a 4 link 9in in it I wasnt that impressed.

Please tell me where you heard this. I know specifically
what cars V8 Killa has run against, and what it has "not" run against.
So far V8 Kila is undefeated too..

I don't think you understood the post, or the replies. It was not Direct Freak, it was another guy copying his style of video.

And you say they must, "have some neat street racing scene out there." because he raced a truck? Hmm... And then you say Philly is cool because its like the fast and the farious, which I assume you mean fast and the furious. Thats nice, go live you life a quarter mile at a time.

and yeah, that first gen was pretty nice. FDs aren't all that impressive anymore lol
