tuning question

i just recently started my car for the first time after getting the stage2 upgrade and i left the settings at 0 adjustment on the fuel map. my car fired up as expected and i let it idle so i could set the thermo switch for the cooling fan. i got into the car and i increased the rpm slightly and it back fired. am i wrong to assume that it shouldn't be doing this? so 'on the correction map i adjusted the bottom line and loaded it to the ecu, it would rev to 3k. am i gonna have to adjust the whole fuel map before i can start driving it? is there a base map that i can load onto the palm and then into the ecu? i have an s5 t2. thanks in advance.

you should be fine since you have no real mods on the car with the base map that came with the rtek base map=stock setting

What do you mean you "Loaded it in the ECU". All changes are done in realitime and must be done while there is an active connection to the ECU.

Unfortunately I paid to have the mop error code to be removed for nothing. Apperently, the stage 2 I got for my s5 still recognizes the error code regardless if the box is checked or not. My car was in limp mode and showed the mop error code. I reconnected it and zip tied it out of the way, just like I had it and it runs fine now. There are also options that my ecu was supposed to have, but doesn't. Not sure what gives there. My ecu is the N370.

The error code still shows up , but when the checkbox is checked (assuming you have an active connection to the ECU when it gets tapped) the error code is ignored and does not cause limp mode. We've sold lots of these ECUs, and have never had a report like this.
