sj30 palm problems
i was seeing if anyone had any experience with the sony clie sj30. I downloaded the palm desktop and i cant get past that... I try to hotsync and i get a read/write error with palm handheld. i dont know if im doing something wrong???
i first loaded the rtek program to be installed/synced, than went to the hot sync manager. press hot sync on the palm, and it just keeps poppin up with the read/write error... i spent 4 hours messin around with this thing, and im stumped. any help is appreciated.

yes... I believe I have intelisync, but it doesn't really work on my pc... I kept gettin errors with that as well. I don't think it liked windows 7, so I ran it under xp, and it would freeze mostly.....

I did finally get it to work, I uninstalled all the programs from my laptop, restarted, reinstalled and everything worked great. I could not get it to work with my desktop though which is running windows 7. laptop is running xp.
I appreciate the help.

So, not that I am trying to revive a dead thread, but had I read this here it would have saved me about 15 minutes of poking and prodding Windows Virtual PC.
It was actually pretty easy to get it to sync. I pressed the hotsync button on my clie and then in the virtual PC, at the top of the screen, I clicked on the "USB" drop down menu, and there was the Clie. I just clicked on it to "attach" in the drop down menu and away it went, did it's hotsync and downloaded the pocketlogger file. Hope this helps someone else.
