Running an Rtek 1.7, what boost from 60-1?

I have an 88 10th AE, and im currently running an Rtek 1.7 with the 720cc secondaries, but i have a Garrett 60-1 comp housing and wheel on a stock turbine housing. Right now its running 7psi on the Rtek and doing well, so im wondering how much i can safely turn the boost up to?

Also, what would happen if i added 720CC primaries to the 1.7? Should i upgrade to the 1.8? Thanks

i dont think you can turn the boost up much more.. jsut get a wideband and find out for sure.

you may want to check with the pocketlogger guys, but if the rtek 1.7 compensates for 720cc secondaries, doesnt that defeat the purpose of bigger injectors? i think they meant the 1.7 to be used in conjuction with an afc of some type

on my 2.0, with a bnr stage 3 (60-1 compressor) at 6psi, im adding about 35% more fuel over stock for 11s AFR

720 primaries would make the AFRs better up top, but you will have harder starting and bad gas mileage down low

Well i know its not reliable, but my Narrow band gauge is almost maxed out rich, and it a brand new sensor. Im going to get a wide band, but cant afford it right now.

What injectors are you using with 35% more over stock?

your narrowband gauge will show full rich for anything below 14 AFR

im have 750cc pri, 1000cc sec, on the 720/720 preset (which is pretty much what the 1.8 will do) with +10% added at 6psi

I usually say "turn up the boost slowly and watch your wideband, when it starts to get lean, you know to stop." But you dont have a wideband, so I wouldn't even consider playing with boost. Because if you can't afford a wideband, then you surely cant afford a rebuild.

Every car is different. Asking this question will not yield any useful answers.

yeah if you compare stock injector size with my 750cc/1000cc injectors, then factor in -25% for the720/720 preset, then factor in my fuel correction %, it comes out to about 35% over stock injectors with the stock fuel map. this is not taking into account fuel pressure though

If you think about it, it makes sense.. i dynod about 250whp, which is about 100whp over stock.. you would think with all that extra power/airflow, it would need that much more fuel

now i dont know why but it doesnt want to run right the last time i tried the 720x4
do you mean at idle? when you had it set for 720/720, what fuel correction were you using in vacuum/before staging? I have mine set at +5% at idle, 0% everywhere else in vacuum, before staging
