Are stock coils the only option on a 2.1? I know the lecture; stock FC coils are the best option, but I need to find out what's wrong with my car and stock coils and a trailing ignitor are an expensive guess.

 

I bought a secound gen coil with ignitor, for 20 bucks. I see them go for that alot used. just buy a used one, and if thats not your issue sell it to a first gen guy, or a 3rd gen guy I hear they do the swap also.
