Rtek 1.8

I'm wondering if I can use this setup, if so what kind of HP should I expect to get with this?
720cc, Rtek 1.8, stock turbo, stock IC, 3inch downpipes(not cat)

probably around 220-230whp. the stock turbo will max out around 250whp, usually around 7psi at redline

Looking to run a similar setup. Anyone know what duty cycle the stock 550cc injectors would be running at @~10 psi? Or is it accepted that 720cc+ is the way to go, at least for secondary's? Thanks.

Also, anyone know the max boost on the map that comes in the RTek 1.x 's? Since the map uses stock AFR's, how would it be programmed for boost beyond the stock ECU's 8.6psi cutoff? I know the MAF is limited to 14.7, but just curious if it is programmed up to that point. Thanks.

The AFM does not measure boost, it measures volume air flow, so it does not have a "limit" as to how much boost it can sense. The limiting factor on the AFM is how much air it can meter, which you can find out by searching this forum as there's a few people who are currently maxing it out.

Up until about 6 months ago I had an Rtek 1.7 which runs 550/720 injectors. With a ported wastegate and 35mm flapper my S4 turbo would creep to around 8 psi and hold till redline. An safc was used to make the appropriate fine adjustments.

With the same setup (3" exhaust, 550/720s) I changed to a megaquirt. It was then that I could log duty cycles. By removing the AFM alone, boost went up about 7 psi. Without the AFM I am creeping to 14psi and falling off to 10 by redline. 14 psi comes in around 5500 RPM where the duty cycles were about 102% on the 550/720 setup. Since I don't have a boost controller and my boost increase is strictly on creep, I can't give any input on running 10psi with 550/720s. Being that my IDC's were beyond 100% at 14psi, I would say 550/720 combo is "safe" at 8 psi, anything beyond 8 psi I would recommend 720/720 using rtek 1.8, or 2.1.

Thanks for the info. I can attribute my puny post count to the search button. Anyways, what kind of gains (mostly mid-range?) can I expect to see if switching from a 1.8 to a 2.X and tuning?
