(ATTN: i WOULD NOT try messing around with this unless your made of money or are sure of what youre doing, i will NOT be testing this on my ecu!

I got my rtek a few days ago, got my manual printed and have been reading it cover to cover ever since, and i looks great!! but i still havnt got my car going. waiting on the palm to serial cable, and injectors.

only thing ive had problems with is getting a pda.. kinda seems like a out dated technology.
i had to go to a pawn shop to get a palm t|x.
and the wire for the pda to serial, was almost impossible to find

anyway the question is, can the rtek pocketLOGGER program work with anything else other then a palm based programs?

what i did figure out is that i could download a palm emulator (trial ver) and then download the rtek tuner to my HTC mogul (touch screen cell phone).
not sure if the emulator wasnt workin right, or if the Rtek program didnt like the whole set up, or if it was because it wanst hooked up to the ecu. but it wasnt working 100% right

If anyone has messed around with this, can give me some info, or had other ideas
please post

 

Theres little you can do if you arent connected to the ECU. No maps will load, parameter list wont load.

It may work, depends on how well the emulator was written. It will probably log considerably slower than with a real Palm.
