progress report

well things have been getting better. i been able to mess with my rx7 this week because its finally not 100 degrees and humid as hell outside. finally cooling off.

i was able to datalog and found that my duty cycle is about 45% under 8 psi and the peek of 90% i saw on my screen was just that, a peek. i havent been able to catch it on datalog and i am confident now that my injectors are good enough for my set up.
550/750cc with high flow turbo, stock porting.

been messing with my greddy profect B spec II, its been able to increase my hp via butt dyno, messing with it i have been able to feel stronger pulls and more consistant boost.

i have one issue though. after i datalog, and when i go in to view the datalog i am getting database error (reset) being my only option i have to reset my palm.... then i have to go back in and change my prefrences and my v/r analog input since it goes back to default...

it happens more often then not that i have a database error while trying to open a log, causing me to reset my palm and loose my prefrence settings and v/r analog calculation.

i also still have noise in my wide band 02 sensor analog out. since i changed from my lc-1 wide band to my glow shift wide band, i have had way way way less noise. but i still DO have noise in my wire and i have yet to insulate it . luckly i have a digital display and its great. i called glowshift and they told me how to insulate the wire and that it was common and when in doubt trust the digital display. he said it was simply the nature of the analog wire and it can be fixed with proper insulation ect.

so yeah.. 8psi. 45% duty cycle. 12-12.5 a/f ratio . i think im finally getting there!!

Good, sounds like your getting things worked out.

I have the same issue with the log errors 9 times out of 10, but when I 'reset' it doesn't lose any settings that I know of. I'm using the ATP input, the V/R just wasn't working out for me, not sure why exactly...

90% is pretty high, must have been before the secondary staging?

As long as the car is running good and your enjoying it, that is what matters.
Any vids and or logs?

yeah low 12's AFR at 8psi on [I'm assuming] 93 octane isn't bad but I'd start richening it into the 11's once you get to 10+ psi.

What kind of timing are you running?

for sure i'll be lowering it and tuning it more as i raise the boost.

i'm running stock set timing, so the timing is not adjusted on the rtek.

Mr. TIMEBOMB, can I get your suggestion on what max boost I should run. 91 octane is it here in CA. Engine: '87 TII. Mods: street port, 3mm apex, BNR Stage 3 equivalent, free flow exhaust, 3" tubing AFM to turbo inlet, Godspeed FMIC (Greddy clone), in process of installing Rtek 1.8 (4 X 720 cc). Compression is ~108 psi on all surfaces. Air temp in this area is a stable 70F year round and low humidity. PS- my boost control is a simple "bi-pass" valve. Will an electronic boost controler allow the boost to come in quicker?
