Pin 3F

I have an S5 NA with rtek and wish to use pin 3F for a wideband. There currently is nothing in the ECU connector for location pin 3F and I was wondering what others have done to make the connection. Jamming a bare wire doesn't seem like the cleanest solution. I'm wondering if I can steal a pin connector from somewhere else on the car for the 3F location in the ECU connector?

Mines didnt have a connector either. I had to take the pin from the AWS wire (since I wasnt using it) and used it in the 3f pin location.
I dont think 3f is used in S5 n.a thats why the pin is missing, I could be mistaken though.

Correct. 3F is not used.

As for the pins themselves -- if you don't want to "borrow" your AWS pin 3J (which, BTW, may come in handy someday if you ever hook up a shift light), plan a trip to Fry's electronics. Go to the section where they have Molex connector parts. There is a package of pins that can readily be used for a neat and secure fit on the wiring harness plug. It costs two dollars.....

I'll try to follow up and get the exact Fry's part# when I get a chance.

I opened up the ECU and soldered a wire onto the connector inside the box.

Molex

WMLX-106

KK Mini Crimp Terminals
For .100 Center Housings (2.54mm)

Package of 20 costs $1.99 at Fry's. So you can break several while practicing.

Use approx. 20 gauge wire of appropriate length.

You'll need some very fine needle-nose pliers or thin gauge crimping tool, plus patience to crimp the terminal onto the wire. Once you've done that, the ECU connector has a hinged retainer that keeps everything in place. Note the orientation of the existing pin terminals inside the connector holes to make sure you insert yours correctly and deep enough for a secure fit. Close the retainer and you're almost done.

Solder or crimp your 3F wire to the wideband's linear analog output wire.

And finally, set the sensor scaling on the RTek.....
