How do I determine if my car is chipped?
I just bought a 87 hatch. The guy said the car was chipped. I am assuming it it Rtek chip I am still unsure. If I was to pull the cover off the ecu what should i be looking for to determine if it is chipped and also what version the chip is?
I know the car feels more powerful then a stock TII so i do believe it is chipped.

Your first clue would be a big "RTEK" sticker on the cover.
But self installes don't get the sticker, so you'd have to open it up. Take the cover off, take the 6 screws out and lift the board out. If there is a chip in there with an RTEK sticker,it's got a rtek. Or if you see any 28 pin chip that is plugged into a socket, it's probably chipped.
