help me decide my setup!

Hey guys! I have an 88' TII that I am rebuilding and I'm trying to decide what direction to take. The car doesn't have any exhaust so I'll be getting a Bönez 2.5'' downpipe and build a 2.5" or 3" single muffler exhaust from that. I;m going to hog out the wastegate but I'm sure that it will still creep. I have alot to do to the car so I really just want an inexpensive system with some headroom if possible. I was thinking that I would make a system that is 10psi safe because I may creep that high or I may just run it there anyway. I'm going to run a Walbro fuel pump but I'm sure that isn't enough. I was thinking about going megasquirt, but that is more than I want to fool with yet and I dont trust myself to tune that much. I was looking at the 1.x Rtek's because they are in the FCD price range and they have that plus more and I was wondering how that would fair? I'm thinking maybe going with the 1.7 and use the 720cc secondaries. later, when bodywork gets done/ more funds I might upgrade to a 2.0 or use a SAFC with it and add a wideband. Is anybody running something similar to this? or have any input?

"So with Rtek Stage 1.7, 720 secondaries, and a larger fuel pump, you should have a setup that can push the stock turbo to its safe limit (approximately 12 PSI)."

do you think that it would be retarded rich though? I know that the Rtek scales back the 720's a bit but is the entire fuel curve different?

another question real quick. Has anyone used cleaned GSL-SE injectors for secondaries. I've heard that after they are rebuilt they flow better than 720cc

yup, I just brought this thread back from the dead because I think this is a valid question that I'm also interetsed in.

I just got my GSL-SE injectors cleaned and tested. they are putting out 710cc@43.5psi that's only a 1.4%difference in flow. I'm thinking these will be sufficient, what do you all think?

BTW, it's a 1.7.
