A couple more stupid question

Ok I popped open the ecu just to take a look and I noticed the slot that they put the new chip in, but there was also another slot that had been put in but was empty. What is the empty slot? Also what can I expect from the 1.8 versus the stock ecu with a FCD? I am running a ported S4 TII, apexi bov, SAFC II, Full racing beat exhuast, 550's & 680's,turbo xs boost controller, walbro 255 fp, and Knightsport fcd. Thats all I can remember but you get the point.

All the S4 Rteks convert the stock "2 EPROM" system to 1 larger eprom. So they all have an empty slot. Adding the empty socket allows you to reinstall the stock chips pretty easily.

I assume you know to remove the FCD when installing the Rtek.

As for what you can expect...You can expect it to run a lot leaner. Be sure to zero out the AFC when installing the rtek. Or in your case, because of the 680s instead of 720s, add some fuel to start out with then lean as necessary.

Makes sense, I will do that and let everyone know how it goes. I will remove the fcd as well. Thank you for the info.
