Nice holeshot on your best run! What's the technique?
Looks like you were catching up w/the Monte Carlo.
With a good clutch AND headlights down, it's in 12's.

Great Vids! Solid runs! I feel bad for your clutch though...

Attached is one of my logs from the races. My launching technique utilizes a mixture of my bad clutch and very grippy 255's. I would rev to a little over 4k then slowly release the clutch to get moving. Once moving and weight transfered to the back I start releasing the clutch quickly but not completely until I felt like the tires weren't going to break lose. Tires held every run so I think I can launch harder. Regarding the Monte Carlo, ya he crushed me off the line because of his reaction time and torque (his .080 mine .313) but from 2nd -4th from my POV it didn't look like he was pulling me that quickly.

Next chance I get tomorrow I'll post images of it then. I might have saved it incorrectly who knows.

They're both stock with 193,000 miles...it's on the long 'TO DO' list.

I'm at 20psi now...thing is gettin crazy. Went to pass someone on a two lane highway and she went sideways halfway thru 3rd on dry pavement. Quick little steering adjustment and away I went. I think this is as high as I will take it, I'm pushing my luck with each boost, just waiting for that iron to crack now...I did just take it thru the blue ridge mtns though tonight, ran pretty damn strong but when I got home I had oil spray in the engine bay....hmmm

Awesome!!! I want to try to work my way up to 17psi or so. I installed my water injection system two days ago and so far I'm only at 10psi trying to get stuff leaned out enough for the ignition to fire it. Hopefully I can't to 15 by this weekend but I may need to upgrade my injectors.

Hopefully you figured out where the oil came from, maybe catchcan is full and blowing everywhere.

My Setup

S4 N/A Keg
Hybrid with to4b v-trim wheel
Custom mount intercooler
2.5" downpipe and mid pipe
3" corksport catback
720/820
FD fuel pump
Rtek 2.1

You're developing a tolerance to the drug!

Go for it man! At the same time, I don't want to be a bad influence...this method is by no means a safe way of making power in a rotary especially ...just use caution while doing so to not detonate, preferably cooler night runs or 1-3rd gear pulls, etc. .

...no lie, these cars are a drug. U get addicted to them and have withdrawals when you don't drive them lol.

From personal experience, I have experienced severe detonation on several occasions since incorporating OEM 3 mm apex seals 15K miles or so ago w/ absolutely no engine deterioration. The most recent occured near 20 psi @ 6 K+ RPM causing the line to the BAC to pop off. I think from what I read to much fear is placed on it. Maybe w/2mm seals one needs to be concerned but w/3mm you will have piece of mind.

Good to hear! I've heard the new'ish' ALS seals are pretty much bullet proof as far as apex seals go. If my motor ever goes that's where I'm going next.
