I would stongly suggest not to do that. You can always lean fuel out, but a lean condition will likely detonate and could pop your motor. Trust me, start rich and then lean fuel out that is the safe way to tune.

I don't know how many people are experiencing this lean condition, but the point is it is happening to some so it makes sense to be safe at 1st.

Also he said he has a ported motor which is going to definately need additional fuel than a stock port. I know since I ported my motor I had to richen the fuel map all over.

I would strongly suggest not doing that either, because with 550/720 the setting will take out 25% fuel out of the 720s, then adding 15% back you are still down 10% overall, start with 550/550 then when you see that you don't have to add any fuel in the top end, that may be when you want to try changing the setting to 550/720.

ok, 550/550 will be REAL safe, I just think you will run into problems running lean when trying to lean out for 720s around the staging points when the 2ndaries are off. but i guess it will be ok with 550/550, since you wont be in boost when teh secondaries are off anyway. but yes, it would be safer to go with 550/550

I suppose you just cant expect the injector presets to work like magic, just becaue here are so many factors, like fuel pressure, injector condition, aftermaket turbo, porting,, etc. I guess its asking a lot to expect it to come out with perfect AFRs
