weather.com is worthless ... all computer generated. Use the link Aron posted, that's the Indy National Weather Service. Real meteorologists create those forecasts. I think the temps are too low right now, look for it move back up into the low 60's.

I like the NWS forecast much better. I wouldn't even mind the cool weather so much.

I am totally unhappy with the forecast. Sorry to see a repeat of last year...I don't know if it will even be as "nice" as it was last year. It's looking even worse to me. And Sunday isn't even going to be sunny and mildly warm like it was last year, just partly cloudy and chilly. Anyone else bummed???

And I'm trying to finish my car...but it's supposed to rain today (Wednesday) and I still have to install the rebuilt trans-and pray that it works properly. Reattach my drive shaft, ppf, and all my exhaust (few hours), install my roll bar and harnesses, install my boost controller (an hour), AND install my stereo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like it's all going to come down to Thursday...I'm going to be working/sweating my *** off trying to get it ready in time.

While I know most of us are weather watching and hoping for the best you can be assured that the event has gone to great lengths to be prepared for inclement weather patterns throughout the weekend. As with any outdoor based event "weather happens" and I know it can be a bit distressing (sort of like waiting months to go to Cedar Point and having it rain), but each sponsor has at least a 10'x10' tent, there are three large tents down the middle of the sponsor area with alternative activities in each (mazda, media, seminar) and we added the 2nd autocross track to help alleviate any lines that may form. We've even added some fun to the media tent as we will have four linked X-Box's for attendees to try their hand at some high-speed rotary driving.

Also we are still seeing conflicting weather reports. While weather.com and the nws are not cooperating wunderground (based in Ann Arbor, MI) and accuweather are saying that the rain will either be extremely light and end early Saturday or it will stop some time on Friday.

Just remember to pack a jacket as it does look to be in the 50's and even colder at night.

I leave for Indy Thursday morning, and my car should have over 700 miles on the new motor and we should reach the 1k mark while I'm down there.

I can't wait to see everyone again!

There won't be rain on Saturday, the track might be wet when we get there Sat morning ... but no rain. Also, I'm sticking with low 60's on Sunday, and close on Saturday. All the models went way overboard on this last run with how much cold air would be coming into the area.

Worry not!

Ya, looks like the front stalled according to Indy's NBC affiliate.

Looks to be much better than last year. Even if it does rain, it will still be a load of fun. I can't wait.

Wow.

I hope the weather is nice. Nothing like driving 10hrs down to stand in the rain. (And not even being able to bring the rx7 down!)

Can't wait. Leaving tomorrow night.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy and unseasonably cold with a rain and snow shower possible. Winds from the WNW at 15 mph.

Being from Florida, I don't exactly trust weather forecasts (you know how many times Tampa was supposed to be a direct hit for hurricanes last year?). However, if I had to pick one, it'd be the local people.

according to wunderground.com, they're saying 60% Friday, 35% Saturday, and 30% Sunday.

however, cold. Highs 66-47-51 Frost possible Saturday overnight into Sunday.

I'm leaving first thing in the morning in any case.

The weather looks like its gonna be even worse now. You guys sure know how to pick em. Now im contemplating not even driving my rx7 down. Even though it is finally done. I guess we will just take the jeep. ugh! Better luck next year.

I'm in the same boat as you. The weather last year was horrid, and this looks to be a repeat of that. If it doesn't change within 24 hours I will probably stay home. I can't justify driving 12 hours in rainy/cold weather to be outside in the cold.
