RX7.com still running?
I called to check in on the 99-spec order I placed back in the beginning of May (found this thread after the fact) and happened to catch Ari while he was at the old shop this morning. He was very apologetic and sorry that the ball has been dropped this badly. He states that he's probably a couple of months until he's caught back up, and that he has no infrastructure at the old location (yet phone number is obviously being routed there still) and is still cleaning out 30+ years of stuff. He did mention that he needs to put an update on the website, and I asked if I could post an update to this thread so at least there's some communication.
I don't think so. I ordered a 99 rebar back in September since the site said they restocked them in August. Crickets. No response to email and nobody answers the phone. Very different than past experiences where they used to ship quick.

I personally spoke to Ari over the phone 2 days ago. I can confirm they are in the middle of moving the shop and asked everyone to be patient. This is a very reputable company that has been around 30 years or so. Nobody has anything to worry about.
Looks like they are still not running correctly. I ordered a case of oil from rx7.com got my order receipt and everything. Never got my product. Called them and was only able to leave a voicemail 5 days ago and have not heard back. Going to call again today. Seeing this thread now and how long they have supposedly been down/ switching shops does not bode well, if there is no communication from the owner.
time is money to a business, if it's taken them a year to do a move then they likely are never coming back. Is he moving 1 box at a time? even before them moving the ordering and communication issues are red flags of a failing business. if he really was wanting to keep the business going there would be a banner on the website stating the changes, what to expect, how to contact and when and i see none of that.
even the laziest of people can pick up the phone once a week and call back a list of potential customers.

I just saw this thread :/
Left them a message yesterday about the Bonez cat, hope they're back up.
If not, does anyone know a good alternative to this cat? All I can find is Magnaflow and I am not sure that it would hold up as nicely.

I didn't have that kind of time so I ended up going the RB resonated midpipe route. High-flow cats seem tough to come by these days. Best of luck on the search!Joined: Aug 2001

I understand both sides. Once you stop it's hard to get rolling again. I would not label the company with a bad rep, who knows whats going on behind the scenes. But dang, you mean this coming October 2025???? Poor Ari.
Unfortunately, I placed an order before I saw this thread… they still advertise on this web site.
They don’t answer the phone. They don’t answer emails. I got an order confirmation, but my CC was never billed. I don’t need two of the same part.
It’s frustrating.

RX7.com
Eventually Rx7.com will probably come back.. But until they announce their return, best to not order anything from their website. Chris and Ari were business partners in Rotary Performance / Rx7.com. I've been going there since 1995 when I bought one of the cars that burned from the original fuel recall. They broke up at some point and Chris retained Rotary Performance, and Ari retained RX7.com. Chris owns the building, and Ari rented. Around January 1st, 2025, Chris wanted to take all the space so he could move his machine shop there. Ari, left, but hasn't yet setup shop as far as I can tell. Ari is a great guy. Chris is a great guy. Someday Ari will come back. But for now based on the comments to this post, it doesn't seem like he's doing business, but I think I saw an ebay ad for his 99 bumper/spoiler stuff recently. So buy it on ebay and get the EBAY protection.
I live in Dallas. Both shops are/were in Garland. I've been going there off and on since 1995. I was there this week, and I have both shirts - Rx7.com and Rotary Performance. I'm FX.JDM on Instagram and currently own 6 FD RX7s and have owned about 15 over the years.

I changed my post. I was confused on a word play of rotary performance in the ad. I didn't realize this ad was for top shelf performance. So it doesn't really belong in this thread. But thank you so much dcarroll95 for your clarification on rx7.com and rotary performance.
I spoke with Ari late September over email asking about Efini Y-Pipe availability. He did apologize for the lack of communication as I sent him a few emails back in June/July but I'll be putting in an order for it. It's taking time for him to settle in from moving but good sign since i was able to get a response back!
