Following up on this. I placed an order for a Bonez system earlier this week. I had a few questions about the order as well as understanding if a check valve is needed (and how to get one). Haven't been able to get in touch with them via email or daily calls.
Has any one had recent contact in 2024?

 

Not exactly a recent experience, but prior to ordering my replacement tan leather seat skins for my FD from RP in Dec 2022, I spoke to Ari there on the phone maybe a month or two prior, and he promptly followed up emailing me some pictures and a leather swatch I requested to help me make my tan or black restoration decision. When I finally ordered my leather seat skins from him in Dec 2022, I placed the order online, but I called Ari first to confirm his expected delivery schedule - he advised me it may take months, but also advised that he wouldn't charge my credit card until the parts shipped out to me. True to his word, I received the parts in early Feb 2023, and wasn't charged until they shipped. Overall a good experience.

 

Did you ever make progress on this? I ordered a fuel pump in early April and it’s been a black hole since. No response to emails/calls/messages. Not sure what to do next.

No luck. I'm assuming they're out of business at this point. My card was never charged.

 

What a bummer. They’re an institution and from what I understand the Bonez was like the go-to cat option. Can’t believe they’d just disappear with no notice and leave a ghost site.

What did you end up with instead?

The thread is for Ari / RX7.com. Rotary Performance is separate and the thread isn’t about RP / Rotary Performance.

I buy from both entities. I have bought as recently as 2023 with Rx7.com and 2024 with Rotary Performance.

for Ari I’d suggest emailing and calling follow ups if you don’t get an initial response. I live in the area of both entities and have never had an issue with either.

RX7.com (Ari's shop) is moving; location unknown as of this post.

Rotary Performance (Chris Ott, Mary & crew) remains unchanged at the current Garland, TX address.

 

yeah, the problem is that the company split but not this forum area

and there’s cross talk between the two in this thread, and not knowing the owners results in it being a bit difficult to discern

Does Rotary Performance have a website separate from rx7.com now since the split? I was hoping to get some work done from them soon too since I live in Texas now and am getting ready to squeeze the rebuild trigger.

I've been trying to contact RX7.com for a couple of weeks about the Bönez Performance Converter System for a 1985 12A GSL. Does anyone know if the Catalytic converter is a Federal / 49 State certified cat only or is it a CA CARB certified?

I placed a pretty large order last week after seeing on this thread that they were still operational, have a couple of calls in just to get confirmation, and haven’t heard back either.

Yeah I think i’m going to leave another message to say cancel the order (just in case they’re working on it) and move on to another store. Too bad.

I ordered a case of Idemitsu oil on May 22 from RX7.com as I usually do every couple of years.
No confirmation or any response at all. I called and left messages, still no answer.
My last communication was CANCEL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I contacted RotaryPerformance.com and and that is when I heard of the split. Yes I am behind the times.

Thus I question if Ari is still in business
