Rear sway-Bar

Hello to all
So I going through the archives and checking things out....I come across a few post's of people taking off there rear sway-bars and getting better handling from there cars.
So my question is.....If I take the rear sway-bar off my FB, how is this making for better handling??????
Unless I'm reading into this wrong, I'm confused.....but that's nothing new.
Paul

From what I've heard and read about, it's to help (not totally eliminate) snap oversteer. I have the same questions, though. I plan on taking mine off soon because I was was told it would help, but I also see where people are adding aftermarket sway bars. What gives? I'm sure they are different and the aftermarket bars somehow do a better job, but how? Thanks for the thread. I'll be anxious to hear what people have to say.

If we don't get any good responses here, Billy at Respeed (Bwaits) should be able to shed some light on it.

bar

Sounds good.

The car doesn't need need much of anything besides good usable upgrades.
It's in very nice shape with low miles.

Try taking it off and see how the vehicle feels for you. It's not very hard to take off the sway bar and either way you would want to take it off to replace the rubber bushings that I am sure are worn out. I replaced my stock one with the racing beat one and the rear feels super stiff. I took it off this weekend and plan to drive it for the week to see what cons and pros come from this. I just recently installed coilovers in the rear and want to see how the stiff suspension setup work with and without a sway bar. I also took it off because the end links are super long on the RB setup and I have been scraping them on bumps due to the car being lowered. Most threads will be a 50/50 mix where people advise for and against taking it off. I believe there is no wrong option as we have a solid rear end so a sway bar isn't mandatory. Also, keep in mind that some of the early SA rx7's didn't come equipped with a sway bar from the factory.
