This weekend is shaping up to be something already -- Mike Moran, Steve Matusek (spelling??), Chuck Samuels, John Urist, Johnny Lighting, Team Aruba, Donny Burton and a shithouse full of manufacturers on the midway. Granted its not Orlando or the Shakedown (yet), but to have an event in the middle of the season with the potential this one's got..................

Oh ya, the JagerMeister party truck setup across from Mickey Thompson...........

Also, Tim Lynch left this morning with his 10.5 car headed to STL. Originally he had said he was staying local and running an ORSCA event.

I am sure Moran is there with the coupe with twins mounted in the trunk. Outlaw 10.5 should be interesting.

Johnny Lightning went 8.0 last weekend and could quite possibly run 7s this weekend.

With the JagerMeister truck there, Shannon Wren might have decided to come with his radial car as well. I am still not sure if any of the other fast radials cars are coming though

Still running the test and tune:
Dan Millen runs a 7.33 @ only 151 in his Outlaw 10.5w Mustang.
Dan Saitz has trouble in his Pro Street 2007 Mustang.
Steve Miller runs a 7.70 at 134 in his Pro Street S-10.

On Tim Lynch’s first pass of the weekend he sets the bar high with a 6.62 at 218.

Brian Carpenter, Mark Micke and Dean Goforth are unable to get down the track.

Dewayne James and Don Burton spun the tires in their SSO Mustangs.

Jim Brown in the Outlaw 10.5w Mustang runs a 7.40
Chuck Samuels second pass spun off the line but still went 7.59 at 209
Halfacer’s second run makes him the fastest SSO car in the test with a 7.56.
The beautiful twin turbo 67 Mustang from Canada runs a 7.09 at 205 in Outlaw 10.5w.
John Urist has to shut off early in his SSO Mustang
Johnny Lightning runs a 8.83 @ 159

Some other times from this time trial:
Steve Matusek Pro Street Mustang shook the tires
Team Swill in Extreme Street 8.94 on the first pass with the new motor.
They are here testing for NMRA Renegade in Michigan.
David Shorr’s Pro Street Escort 6.61 @ 213
Joey Bridge has problems with his Drag Radial Mustang
Tony Williams and Mike Moran have trouble and don’t make a good pass.
One of the Goforth’s IHRA Pro Stock car runs a 6.38 @ 219
A camo painted Outlaw 10.5W Mustang driver does a great job of keeping the car from crossing the center line.

Steve Matusek, (driver of the Areomotive turbo modular Cobra), was OK; car will need a new front half. 'Chutes got caught int he wheelie bars and the brakes faded despite 935 lbs of brake pressure shown on the gauge.

Turnout was decent, for a 1st year event. The track had some technical problems with the tree and timing system but all and all, good event.

Huber was in WILDSTREET, have to do 30 mile cruise around st.louis then make 3 back to back passes without opening the hood, making any changed to the car or filling up fuel. He got kicked out 1st round, intercooler hose popped off while bringing the car up on boost at the line.

A few other cars in Wildstreet that made the 30 mile cruise went 7’s at 180 plus mph. Streetcars, yes. Ridiculous.

Video of the finals.
