Will a 28" tire fit in my rear fender wells?

I want to run a 28x10x16 tire on my stock FD rear rims and was wondering if a tire this tall would fit out back on my 93 FD. I have coil overs, control arms, toe lines, and rolled fenders.

It will fit, but you'll rub the top of the fender too much as soon as you launch. Sorry...

28's, I didn't even know they make a slick in a 27". It still may rub. My 26's rub a bit when I launch, however I do have to stiffen my suspension.

Why not just use the 26x11.5x16 also ive run 1.522 60 ft time on on the 10.5 et with 460 hp. I would think the small dia. would help! Oh and no rub issue at stock height with the above mentioned et's.

most likely because the original poster has a v8 in his rx7 : x so we have a lil problem with running out of gear in 4th with a 26"tire, 4.10 rear end and a 6500-7000 rev limit

Then if that's the case then there's the 3.90 gear from the auto or a 3.73 from the minivan.

I know that the 26x10.5x16 will fit but will the 26x11.5x16 MT ET Street fit ono a stock 16" wheel? I thought it was too wide??

It fits onto the rim, yes. but it does not fit right. the shoulders are not getting the same force applied to the road as the center. you probably have a smaller contact patch than you would with 10.5 tires

That said, I had some 26x11.5 ET Streets on stock wheels on my FD. They hooked good enough to get the front tires a hair off the ground
