What oil cooler?

I have an rx2 with a full bridgeport 12a N/A that I am rebuilding and am going to be racing. My oil cooler looks very old and I want to replace it and when I tore down my motor most of the corner seal springs were flattened, which I was told was an indication that my oil temp was getting too high.

Anyhow, I was wondering what is a good oil cooler and where can I get it? And are there any decent aftermarket one's available?

Thanks

Alright, thanks. I'll keep that one in mind. What about running a 1st gen oil cooler? Would that work ok too?

Shhhhhh!.

Actually for street and road race it's a must. For drag not needed in most applications.
Driving/racing style determines if an oil cooler is neccessary.

Cool, thanks guys. I think I'll just go find a first or second gen oil cooler at the junkyard.

On another note- I am going to be occasionally driving this car on the street and am in the process of a rebuild- 12a full bridge, and was wondering if doing the e-shaft oil jet-200 mod. is a good idea. I heard that it is not recommended on the street and was wondering if this was true. I did the rear pressure reg mod by crushing the end a little to build spring pressure and am going to shim the front reg up 1/8 ". Is this all good?
