Video from King of the Streets

Did not win as I broke out of my class (6.50-6.99) but had a good day with a new best time.

Little info on the car as I am not sure I have ever posted it up.

Motor built and ported by me. This is the second year beating on it. Ray Wilson tuned it, gt4094 turbo from A-spec with A-spec 4 inch exhaust, PFC ecu, MSD 6al, 2 step, Liberty built tranny, Stock axles, TII diff, PFS brace, ACT 6 puck (new material) Q16 gas, Et streets 10.5's, 27.5psi, full interior.....

This pass was :

1.39 60 foot
4.129 330 foot
6.44 1/8th
108.17 mph

Slowwww shift on 2-3.
Also running 15 gallons of fuel to help with starvation problem.

Think I can pick up another .1-.2 with flat shifting 2-3 and pulling some weight.

Sick sick sick, Props to you moves pretty well. I been on here all night trying to figure out my new turbo selection, never thought something could be so mind boggling stressful. I see you got the 4094

Well that's a nine second car right there
Just need to shift it properly. Don't be afraid and keep you foot on the gas pedal.
Another run or two and You get that 9 sec pass.
Good job and good luck.

Thanks guys! I was more going for the win then the time on this pass so I took it easy on the shift. I hope to get back out before the track closes and try and keep the gas down all the way this time.

Awesome job budd, now just get used to flat shifting it and you'll shave even more time off.

Thanks guys! Yes, I am pumped on the new setup. My log showed .45 closed throttle between 2-3 shift so I know if I flat shift it all the way its going to pick up more. I really only had a 9.9999 in goal which I think will happen next time I am at the 1/4. A/F was low 11's and I can run more timing off the tune. Also could pull more weight. I just cant believe the stock axles are holding up. Got 110k miles on them!

This motor was my first build-port job and I was worried back then if it would even fire up No oil mods, reused oil pump, oil control rings, used housings, etc.. cant believe it has taken me this far "knock on wood".

Dont get me wrong... I spent weeks on the porting and I was very strict on my build, just was thinking I would be doing it again soon so why spend the $$ on first build. I did spec everything out.

That was me. Mike surprised me with how quickly he ran down the track. I knew it was going to be a fast pass once I saw the 2-3 shift and how much momentum there was.

Earlier in the day, Mike told me how he wished I got his first pass on video because his first pass of the day is always his fastest. But with this pass, he broke that trend.

Killer time, and it's even more impressive when I read how much of the car is stock--like the axles--wow. Tell that to the two Corvette z06s that snapped theirs right on the line earlier that day.

Oh, and here's a better embed of the video. Share--Get a Link-->Embeddable Links

Hmmm...maybe that embeddable link isn't so good. The gum gum custom advertising messes up the link and doesn't let it go to the destination.

It's the same video, but just with a screenshot preview versus just a link. I don't know why there's no option for this type of linking at the end of the video.

I could never get it to play right though, so I think a link was better anyhow. But the run itself was sick, sick, sick!
