Trying to get my car ready for Etown...
All fields were packed, Quick 32 was just plain sick. These guys were going down the track sideways and would not let off. We all walked back to the pits to see the winner of the Q32 class and there were like 100 fans waiting for him. This guy could drive lol, you have to see the vids to believe it. My personal favorite was the red T2, this guy would dial in a 7.75 and run a 7.76-7.86 each round. With a 32 car field there was a lot of great racing.
The 10K shootout was also sick. Miller from NRG tech and Cunha? running 8.8x and eliminating each car until they both got to the finals together and NRG tech took the win.
And lastly the index classes. I'll update the index class thread but guys that were there and not for it had a good time and a change of mind.
Mobeaner - It was me, Roan and a bunch of guys from NY and a few forum members there too. I ran too
I called 13brx3 to come out but he was making another "the man" video
I'm so excited, I can't wait to see the new one Allen!!!!! (For those that missed it.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xb_i9sF-DIk
Aaaron, post those vids!!!
Anthony
Here is an inside car came of the finals where he won. He's known as the "drift drag racer" lol

^honestly, I think it was better than pan ams... I even found the FWD class to be exciting
Chris Miller & the NRG guys are awsome.
The red T2 is called "Sam Rico" and they are local.. They did a very good job of keeping it together all weekend to "beat" team PR.. They broke out of their dial in, otherwise they would have won the finals againt Kapicu.
Edwin "Loquito Killer" lived up to his name (loquito) by driving the crap out of that Datsun on every pass. The guy has big kojones & a heavy right foot!!
The interesting thing is by PR standards, that Kapicu Datsun is very low budget... aka a POS :-) but it would run 7.20's all day long on the old T2 combo
Now it's running a cosmo setup.
The car had a bent TB butterfly in the finals, hence the reason for the high revs while staging.. Actually if you look at the onboard video, you'll notice that he kept his hands on the starter button to keep it idleing
The crowd was pretty thick for an Etown event.. Most people came out to see the FWD cars and boy they got their money's worth. Big payouts bring big name racers and that inturn bring big crowds
Kudos to Borg Warner for putting their money ($10K) where their heart is!
Anthony I got home at 2am.. Video were made last night and will be uploaded later

I have to be nice to Enzo, he is the only one in our group that has a running car

. If you ever get your car down the track i will make one for you, but you will have to be "THE BOY"Seriously though, i appreciate you telling me what you really thought about the vid instead of lying to me. I now know who my real friends are I wish i could have made it out to the track but i couldn't manage to drag my *** out of bed.

So what's the story with what sounds like a stuck throttle? How big a set do you have to have to stage the car by turning the ignition on and off? Very awesome!

I'm still upset that I had to work both weekends
Sounds like you guys had fun!
I heard today the chassis was perfect but he has to replace the body.
Yeah it was a blast, next time. I'm going to post up for another event when we all can attend together. We'll make better plans next time.
Yeah I saw that, that was sick. He lost control about half track, started changing lanes missing the walls by what seemed inches from where I was. He passed the beams and finally lost control at the far end and the car flipped over. Luckily he held it down until the car was barely moving from what it seemed. Someone has to have a video of that run. Imagine the incar cam of that one.

No in-cam from GRS, but there is other video of the run...
