Tranny and clutches with scatter shield

Are about ready to go in! And i think ill have a 4 point bolt in cage built while im at it!

I will post up pictures if anyone is interested as there hard to find! It will be in a week or so. I want the cage to bolt in so i can powder coat it and remove it if i want.
It will be built with computer bender so duplicating it will be easy.

It looks like the case broke and then 3rd gear went after! What do you think?

I went from sec to third and noticed the trannie would make a ticking noise in every gear, later in the evening i went from first to sec hard and all hell broke loose and you can see third gear teeth gone and case cracked!
It makes me believe case cracked first and then when i got on it in first to sec. it finished it off, i think third gear went on the 2 1/2 mile trip home!

Theres also a longer crack higher up on the bearing that goes to a drain hole from the back of the trannie.

The new trannie is in but i wanted some input why it broke like this, cause i only have 500h/p and didnt think it would break this easy...three years running tens shouldnt do this should it?

nice stuff , were you about to show us some pics of the cage and scatter shield, if so im still interested .
And not that ive busted a box yet, but three years from yours is a good length of time id say at that power level.
Its just a matter of time from when it brakes
