Tonights drag racing results

Woohoo, I guess all the work I did to the car to lighten it up really paid off. Tonight I ran my best time of 7.59 in the 8th. Looking forward to seeing what it will run in the 1/4 mile in September. Here's the timeslip, I'm in the left lane. I will have vids of the runs on Saturday as my Dad has the camera. The only other rotary out there was Chris and his turbo duece. His car was running alot better and his 60fts where 1.3's. I have him in the video as well.

Here's the timeslip.

Did you ever weigh everything, to see how much you actually took out?

Thank you. I guestimate about 150lbs. There was so many little things to weigh and all I had was bathroom scale. I will know for sure in about a month because I will have to weigh my car. All I know is that I went from a 7.86 to a 7.59 with just the weight removal.

Congrats Jay! Keep up the good work! You could always add 150lb or so and pick up a couple seconds

Thanks, yeah now I'm going to have to put a roll cage in soon and add the weight back in. I'm going to use chromoly to keep the weight down. Nothing a 13bpport can't compensate for.

Thank you. I was hoping for a 7.5 and got it on the last pass. The thing that was funny is that I raced two built older mustangs and kicked their *** and then I get beaten up by a Jeep grand cheroke grocery getter on that last run- he's in the right lane on that timeslip above. That SUV was fast and it's his everyday driver. I talked to him later and he is running the SRT8 6.1 Hemi fully built from the ground up. I'll have it on vid soon.
