i dump at 3.5 and i floor the gas. it does hook. just wheel spin. stock suspension, 18'in 275 rear nitto 555 just the street tires, ACT street/strip clutch. i need more parctice. I plan to run at the track this year, is the track more slippery than the street?

 

Tried something different this past weekend. ( Nopi, Ennis ) Resulted in a 1.54 60ft. MT streets at 11psi, stock turboII drivetrain, No two step or line lock, boost in 1st gear is close to 20psi.

I staged the first light first
wait for other driver to stage first light.
rev motor to lauch rpm, 6500
I let him trip the second stage light
then I lightly let the clutch out to stage my second light
Once my second light came on, I only pushed the clutch in far enough to stop the car from moving forward. This put a load on the drivetrain.
It was pro tree this weekend so when the three yellows came on, I released the clutch and the results were 1.54. Going on the three yellows still resulted in a .45 reaction time. Looks like Ennis does not factor in the .4 for pro tree.

 

I let my pressure down to 16lbs with low profile 265 45 Summitomo HTRZII. I started at 20psi heat cylced runs and hit 1.78 60ft on street after I got to 16lbs. I believe its due to the ability to help with the shock of weight adjustment more than anything. You can tell by a heat gun or burn out wear if you edges are done more than the center.I just did a rapid clutch release with a throttle on before the green.

 

i heard once 12lbs for the mickey tompson et streets... is this to low?
